New South Wales was the first to grow the grapevine. It boasts a diverse range of climates from the coastal region, lying south of Sydney, to where hardy growers can persist at over 500m above sea level, including, the Murrumbidgee and Murray Rivers, Riverina and Perricoota and the northern portion of the Swan Hill and Murray Darling.
