The Pink Roadhouse
The Pink Roadhouse was originally started & owned by Adam & Lynnie Plate about 44 years ago.
Adam & Lynnie didn't just want to sell food and fuel and groceries from their roadhouse. They also wanted to create place where everyone from the local Aboriginal community, to station people visiting town and tourists, could relax and mingle.
The roadhouse has been coloured pink for more than 35 years. The colour pink was chosen by the original owner Adam for marketing purposes, after the pink cement trucks in Sydney.
